Over two years ago, the Board of Bishops envisioned a Free Methodist website dedicated to helping our denomination minister in a culturally relevant, 21st century style. Funds were allocated and the task of giving the site technical "flesh and bones" was given to the Integrated Media Group (IMG), the multi-media arm of Free Methodist Communications.

The new www.freemethodistchurch.org has been functioning for 11 months, and we're excited about the free resources it will allow us to provide for our local churches. So far, one of the biggest of those resources — free host space to local church websites — is only being used by about ten percent of churches around the country.

Why not claim a corner of the Internet for God's kingdom and take advantage of the possibilities for ministry! If your church currently has a website or would like to start one, click here to submit your request and to get more detailed instructions. We offer space on a dedicated server, which means reliability in loading your web pages for visitors. The only cost your church might choose to incur is the registration fee for the web address of your choice.

Many of our churches have taken advantage of members' talents for the design and publication of their sites. (For examples and ideas, check out all the current local FM church web site listings.) While IMG doesn't yet offer design help to individual churches for websites, keep watching for a FM Graphics Gallery that will be specifically for Free Methodist local church webmasters.
