you know the Free Methodist Church has an excellent resource for guiding
children in their walk with Jesus?
The Christian Life Club (CLC) program has three tracks -- PathFinder,
grades 1-2, TrailBlazer, grades 3-4 and PaceSetter, grades 5-6.
CLC's mission is drawn from the example of Jesus' childhood development:
"And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and
man" (Luke 2:52).
This mission and the Proverbs 3:5-6 theme verse are old standards for
the CLC program, but they've taken on new twists with a bold new writing
and design style.
The new Christian Life Club is a popular product with other
denominations, too. Its strong roots in evangelical Christian doctrine
make it valuable to non-FM Christians. CLC's doctrinal basis is as follows:
- The Holy Bible, God's totally inspired Word, is the final authority
for life and doctrine.
- Sin separates us from God, and this separation leads to eternal death.
- Jesus Christ, God's one and only Son, by His death and resurrection,
provided atonement for sin and the free gift of everlasting life for
all who choose to believe in Him.
- The Holy Spirit, as the third person of the trinity, lives within
the hearts of those who believe in Jesus Christ and leads them into
all truth.
- Jesus Christ will come to earth again to judge the living and the
dead.
